Treehouse + Nest

Here's the deal. I’m a single girl, business owner and dog/cat mom living in two cities. My life is not only runs on an insane schedule, but I also want to make sure my house and creatures are protected while I’m gone. Recently a few crimes hit a little too close to home, so I decided I needed to take steps to ensure my safety and the safety of my beloved Red Door Home.

I worked with TreeHouse on a consulting project for their new Dallas location and grew to love not only the people there, but also their eco-friendly philosophy. I knew I wanted to connect with them regarding the best way to make my 1930’s house a “smart home”. TreeHouse is a one-stop shop for all home upgrade needs, including security! So began my journey of navigating the tech world.

First step was scheduling a meeting with TreeHouse to learn how the Nest system works. It was completely over my head, but they patiently answered all of my many questions. After a thorough discussion, we scheduled the install, which typically happens within 48 hours after the initial meeting. I love a quick turnaround time! TreeHouse tech wizard, Patrick, came over and installed everything for me. Even when there were some internet difficulties on my end, Patrick went out of his way to sort out the kinks and stayed longer than he planned, until I felt comfortable with the Nest system. I’ve had many an installation and let me tell you this experience was not the norm. It is so refreshing to work with a company that actually cares about the customer!

I’ve had Nest for about 3 weeks now and can’t imagine life without it. I am able to check on my house remotely, when it alerts me of activity or just when I’m feeling homesick! I can even startle my parents and talk to them when they stop by to water the plants. J I get to catch Cat being crazy, scold Monte when he’s naughty or control my thermostat. Whether I’m home or traveling, I always know my house is safe. Words can’t express how important that is to me and how grateful I am to TreeHouse for helping me each and every step of the way!
